Job Summary

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems. This includes spring start-ups, routine system checks, winterization, and repairs to ensure optimal performance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform irrigation system start-ups, maintenance checks, and winterization.
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation issues, including electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.
  • Work with two-wire systems and multi-strand wiring to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Monitor irrigation system performance and recommend improvements for optimal water usage.
  • Ensure all work follows company safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with the Account Manager to schedule and complete repairs.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of time, work performed, and materials used.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 3 years of field experience in irrigation system installation and repair.
  • Knowledge of two-wire systems and multi-strand wiring is required.
  • Proficiency with WeatherTech smart controllers.
  • Strong experience with irrigation hand and power tools.
  • Ability to inspect, evaluate, and improve irrigation systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education on irrigation technology.
  • Backflow Certification is preferred but not required.
